Elephants graze near the shores of Lake Kariba. Lake Kariba in northern Zimbabwe is one of the country's top tourist destinations. Many foreign and national visitors come to the lake for fishing and to see wildlife, but after several years of drought combined with the affect of El Nino, the level of the lake has decreased, affecting the livelihoods of those in the region who depend on the lake. As the level of the lake has gone down, the shoreline and grazing area for animals has become much larger. This means that the animals often graze far from the lakeshore and cannot be seen from the boats as before.
